Konnichiwa
Konnichiwa (こんにちは) (pronounced: "kon-nee-chee-wah) is a Japanese greeting, typically a mid-day to early evening greeting (10:00 AM to 5:59 PM). It is also used as an informal greeting, "hello".
With kanji, Konnichiwa is written as 今日は.
“Konnichiwa Charlotte” is a way for us to express a friendly hello from us to the neighborhood of Charlotte, as well as, the local Charlotte community we aim to serve. We aim to provide a family environment for our local neighborhoods to enjoy a relaxing meal with their loved ones. We look forward to providing our friendly neighbors with a new and fresh look at sushi and hibachi.
We can not call ourselves authentic, because what is AUTHENTIC SUSHI? Real Japanese sushi, in its original form, consists of only four components: cooked rice, rice vinegar, seaweed, and either fresh raw fish or vegetables.
With that being said, we would like to describe ourselves as a Contemporary form of sushi. Our head chef expresses himself through his sushi creations. We respect and appreciate the inspiration Japanese food and culture have given us and therefore hope to pay homage to it through our creativity.
